Summer… abbasc’a Maronna 2024 is the activity promoted by the Sannio Study Center in Benevento with free summer initiatives that will be held in the courtyard of the Basilica of the Madonna delle Grazie in Benevento (Viale San
Lorenzo).
Four appointments to spend a few peaceful and reflective hours together, with attention
specific to our territory.
On this occasion, the Sannio Study Center also launches the cultural dinner initiative which will be held on
29 July 2024 starting at 9pm
“We are happy – states the Director of the Study Center Prof. Paolo Palumbo – to propose these events which can meet the interest of many because they involve many artistic expressions, music, poetry, theatre, dance, literature. We hope to offer with these free meetings a bit of leisure and serenity. I thank the Franciscan Province of the Friars Minor who supports all our initiatives and all those who have decided to accept the invitation of the Board of Directors and to animate the evenings with their professionalism and competence in the experience of the cultural dinner on July 29th which will be a moment of sharing not only gastronomically”.
Below is the program of free appointments:
8 July at 9pm Benevento and the history of music: the protagonists curated by Enrico Salzano and the Salzano band; July 15th at 9.00pm Eloquent Silence Eloquent Silence curated by Antonella Fusco with the collaboration of Luigi Abate and Benedetta Covino;
July 22nd at 9.00pm Love is something else Reflections and testimonies by Giovanni Tagliaferro, Michele Ruggiano and Paolo Palumbo with the collaboration of the Dance Study Center of Carmen Castiello and Linda Ocone;
July 29th at 9.00pm Cultural dinner. Each participant must wear something yellow (the symbolic color of the culture) and must bring everything needed to dine under the stars: food, drinks, plates, glasses, cutlery (tables, tablecloths and chairs are provided by the organisation). During the evening, participants are invited to share readings, thoughts, reflections, memories, poems, music and other performances with everyone present.
