A accident road traffic occurred this morning in via duca degli Abruzzi a Taranto: as ascertained by the local police who intervened immediately, a Smart car traveling in Via Oberdan after turning onto it from Via Duca degli Abruzzi was violently hit in the rear by a motorbike traveling at high speed in the city centre, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
The driver of the motorbike, realizing that he could not avoid the impact, left the vehicle which caught fire following the struggle. Father and son on board the Smart were quick to move the vehicle away to avoid allowing the flames to spread. The police quickly intervened and put out the fire and ensured the circulation of city traffic.
