STOP Public and institutional moment at the Mayor’s Office of Palazzo dei Priori for the students of the “A. Caro” of Fermo who won in Rome in May, coming first in Italy, the dispute tournament, project on legality always supported by the Bar Association of Stopped. The highest city authorities congratulated the students on their achievement.

The ceremony was opened by the President of the Fermo Bar Association Fabiana Screpante who underlined and recalled how the Fermo Bar Association is the first in the Marche to win this competition in which it participated for the third consecutive year and which this year they joined as many as 32 bar associations. He also wanted to sincerely thank the support of the institutions and renew his congratulations to the high school for the commitment, dedication and determination with which this project was carried out.

The interventions

The lawyer introduced the interventions. Alessia Capretti, coordinator of the project, who – together with those present – also thanked for their support all the schools that participated, the teachers, the school directors, as well as private supporters such as Steat, Solgas, Da.mi and Mercurio Trade. Doing the honors was Mayor Paolo Calcinaro who, in honoring the students with a plaque, as well as expressing the city’s pride in this victory to the students and the Order of Fermo, recalled how the decision to become a lawyer was emerged in him during his university studies, especially after having participated in a dispute organized by a teacher who – he added – contributed to greatly developing the students’ reasoning and critical sense.

Also present was the culture councilor Micol Lanzidei. Thanks to the students and the Bar Association came from the Prefect Edoardo D’Alascio who wanted to highlight the role of the school in synergy with institutions and bodies, the network with the Bar Association which involved students outside the classrooms to make them active and involved in current issues in society. «Thank you guys because with this project you have highlighted the strength of the word that makes you grow, that builds and with which you have set an example, not as has happened in recent days in institutional places where the word strength has prevailed», the words of the President of the Province Michele Ortenzi.

«I was proud to have opened the doors of the Court to projects like this because they open minds, put students in touch with institutional places and I am particularly happy with this victory as I am also a former student of Liceo A. Caro» , said the President of the Court of Fermo Bruno Castagnoli. Prof.’s speech is always exemplary and refined.
