PERUGIA – The fourth appointment of the summer calendar of the Corso Garibaldi District project arrives in Perugia: Saturday 29 June is “The march of a thousand glasses”, an event dedicated to wine which has grown this year, doubling the number of Umbrian wineries from 7 to 15 , with some also from outside the region. The event intends to promote the new circuit of small artisan wineries in Umbria and beyond that implement production that pays attention to the link with the territory and without excessive use of wine products.

The start is scheduled for 6pm when it will be possible to taste the wines with three different types of tickets: 1 glass (4 euros), 2 glasses (7 euros), 6 glasses per tasting tour (20 euros). It will also be possible to dine with the different and multi-ethnic cuisines of the various restaurants in the area. In fact, there are no food and wine stands outside the kitchens of the neighborhood, this is precisely with a view to making the activities of the village known and also economically encouraged with gastronomic proposals from different parts of the world. For food there will also be a street food offer between 6 and 8 euros to take away and always from all the restaurants in the neighborhood.
In this fourth edition, to integrate the program, there is a space dedicated to meetings organized with Cia Umbria (Mercato dell’Arco Etrusco) and also a musical part: vinyl selections by Marco Unraggiodisoul & Sunny Groove and a concert at 11pm by the Francines, band inspired by country, rockabilly with a sound faithful to the 40s and 50s.

The event is promoted by the Assogaribaldi Aps association which includes all the activities of the first part of Corso Garibaldi, residents and students of the neighbourhood. The Corso Garibaldi District project continues in this way, which includes a set of socio-cultural events to promote healthy sociality, rediscover one of the most beautiful areas of the city and give a promotional and economic incentive to the neighbourhood.
