In Costigliole d’Asti over the weekend of 29 and 30 June several events were organized dedicated to the historic passage through the Asti area of a stage of the Tour de France, the third, scheduled for Monday 1 July.

SATURDAY 29 JUNE
COSTIGLIOLE’S PROGRAM IN CELEBRATION, WAITING FOR THE TOUR DE FRANCE
7.00 pm via Roma: opening of hobby and craft markets
7.30pm KITCHENS & CELLARS FOOD AND WINE ROUTE through the streets and squares of the historic center with typical local dishes and products offered by Costigliole’s merchants and artisans of taste, paired with the wines of the “Noi di Costigliole” Producers’ Association.

The Administration of Costigliole d’Asti and the Noi di Costigliole Producers Association are organizing a toast to celebrate, all together, the arrival of the Tour de France on our roads! “It is an extraordinary event for Costigliole and for the entire territory, a unique opportunity to be at the center of a world showcase”
The appointment is for Sunday 30 June from 6pm in the courtyard of the Costigliole Castle to spend a pleasant moment tasting the great wines of the producers of the Noi di Costigliole Association, accompanied by tastings of typical products. Entrance is free upon reservation.

GOBLETS AND PEDALS IN 8 STAGES. COSTIGLIOLE CASTLE
The event “On Tour between Italy and France, Glasses and pedals in 8 stages” wants to pay homage to the Italian and French cycling champions, who were protagonists in the history of the Tour de France, with a masterclass of eight wines, representing the territories of origin of these great cyclists.
The guided tasting will be held on June 30th at 9.00 pm in the hall on the main floor of the Costigliole d’Asti castle.
The places reserved exclusively by reservation (on the AIS Piemonte website www.aispiemonte.it) are all sold out.
The event is organized by the Asti delegation of AIS Piemonte (Italian Sommelier Association, Piedmont delegation).
