The Municipality of Udine is pleased to announce the expected “Awakening Concert” with the extraordinary participation of Roy Paci. The event will take place Saturday 6 July 2024 at 7:00 am to the Udine Castle, which offers a panoramic view of the city and the Julian Alps. Home to the Civic Museums and the History and Art Galleries, since 2010 the Udine Castle has hosted concerts, classical and contemporary music festivals and theatrical performances, attracting internationally renowned artists and audiences from all over Europe. This historic and vibrant location is the ideal setting for Roy Paci’s musical matinee. The event is free and offers a unique opportunity to start the day with the engaging music of one of the most versatile and innovative artists on the contemporary music scene.
Roy Paci, singer, trumpeter, composer and record producer, is the founder of the label and production company Etnagigante. With over 40 years of careerhas participated in the creation of more than 500 albums and collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Manu Chao, Mike Patton, Negrita, Vinicio Capossela and many others. His musical style combines Mediterranean roots with Latin rhythms, ska, reggae, R&B and jazz, creating a hybrid, unique and extremely personal sound.
His compositions for cinema, TV and theater have earned him prestigious awards, including the Silver Ribbon and a nomination to Donatello’s David. With his band Aretuskahas ignited the European and Latin American stages, while his other innovative projects such as Ionic Band, Orchestra del Fuoco, Corleone, NE And Carapace continue to experiment and push the boundaries of Music.
