Zenith Prato’s season ends with only one huge regret as, after the advantage gained in the first leg, they were defeated away from home by three goals to one and thus saw the dream called Serie D fade away.

After less than twenty seconds the hosts are already ahead thanks to a nice conclusion from Evangelisti. In the 14th minute the second goal came with Braconi, who scored after a header from Nanapere. Zenith Prato, however, did not lose heart and in the 22nd minute of the second half closed the gap with Cela, who received an assist from Castiello and headed it into the net. Then, in the 32nd minute, there was an icy shower with Miotto who annihilated the Tuscans.

After the race, the Vice President of Zenith Prato Enrico Cammelli commented with great sportsmanship via his Facebook profile: “It’s never easy to comment on a defeat, it’s not easy after having made an extraordinary journey that brought us one step away from the dream. But precisely because the journey was extraordinary I can only thank those who made it happen, therefore the whole team group and all the technical staff, thanks also to our fans who traveled six hours today to come and support us Unfortunately, it didn’t go as we hoped. Congratulations to Castelfidardo who conquered the D series in the double comparison. Forza Zenith Prato“.
