Speaking to our microphones, Alessandro focused on the arrivals of Alessio Dionisi and Morgan De Sanctis, respectively new coach and sporting director of the Sicilian club, but not only that.

What do you think of the arrivals of Dionisi and De Sanctis?
«I like Dionisi a lot, he is a young coach but already with a fair amount of experience. He had a direct promotion from B to A with Empoli and was then chosen by Sassuolo as De Zerbi’s heir, achieving two quiet saves. Last year is irrelevant because the team was significantly weakened and in January they lost Berardi due to injury, so it was a bad year. What can we say about De Sanctis, he is at the beginning of his career, he didn’t do well in Salerno, but we hope that the mistakes have helped him and he can redeem himself in Palermo.”
What do you expect from the market and where would you particularly intervene?
«In my opinion there is a lot that needs to be done in all departments, but especially in defence. We can say that the squad needs to be re-established at 70% and that various positions need to be clarified. For example, we need to understand if Segre and Brunori intend to stay.”
About Brunori. How do you evaluate the current situation of the Rosanero captain, at the center of several criticisms from Palermo fans?
«In my opinion the statements made after the defeat against Venezia are inappropriate and avoidable. Now it’s up to him to clarify his position and, possibly, clarify his meaning.”
How do you evaluate the last season, which recently concluded?
«In my opinion there were the conditions to do much more, therefore I consider it negative. Along the way, we lost too many points and there is a lot of regret.”
What is your biggest splurge for Palermo?
«I did a lot of crazy things for Palermo, like many fans I know, I don’t feel more like a fan than others. If anything, for decades I have carried within me the remorse of having preferred, in 1991, to go to the stadium to watch a Palermo – Barletta match in the pouring rain, rather than visit my aunt Maria in hospital, he asked her to see me and after 2 days, unfortunately , without me having time to say goodbye to her!
