Summer camps at the Archaeological Museum of Chianti for an Etruscan-tinged summer

Registrations open in Castellina in Chianti for the two entitled summer camps ‘Etruscan summer’ and organized in July by the Archaeological Museum of Chianti with the patronage of the Municipality. The initiative is aimed at children aged between 7 and 11 years and will offer fun and educational activities to learn about history and archeology through games and workshops. The first summer camp is scheduled from July 1st to 5th, with registration open until June 28thwhile the second appointment is scheduled from 22 to 26 July, with the possibility of registering until 19 July. The summer camps will take place from 9am to 1pm, with reception guaranteed from 8.30am and activities both inside and outside the Chianti Archaeological Museum.

The ‘Etruscan summer’ summer camps they will be dedicated to the arts and craftsmanship that colored the Etruscan world and will involve the young participants in a journey into the past to revive objects that were once multicolored or sparkling but have not been preserved until today because they were too fragile, like glass, either perishable, like textile fibers and leather, or easily alterable like metals. Each day of the summer camp will delve into a different art with manual workshops, visits to the museum collection and moments of relaxation and play to create, with imagination and DIY, models of temples, colorful beads, tablet weaving or metalworking.

Info. 15 participants are allowed for each round and it is not possible to register for single days. For the second week, priority will be given to children who have not already participated in the first round.
