TRIESTE – It’s this morning, Sunday 16 June, the discovery of a body in the sea inside the breakwater between piers III and IV of the Old Port of Trieste. It is a man and, according to initial information, the position in which the body was found would suggest that it could be the 24-year-old young man missing at sea since June 11th. At the moment, however, there is no certainty about the identity.
The 24-year-old had fallen into the water after a party with friends and never resurfaced. The current probably could have kept him under. After five days, this morning the report of the discovery of a body reached the phones of the Port Authority of Trieste via the Canottieri Adria company, which at that moment was engaged in training activity. The Coast Guard lookout was on site and proceeded to recover the body.
