After months of waiting, a project is taking place in these minutes open city council to Reggio Calabria on the Bridge on Strict. “Inconceivable violence to the detriment of democratic dialectics”
To Angela Marcianò he is prevented from speaking in the Chamber about the “Ducale” investigation. “An unworthy, premeditated and inadmissible abuse in clear violation of article 65, paragraph 2, of the Regulation on the functioning of the City Council, was prevented, at the opening of the session of the so-called open City Council, pursuant to the previous article 52, convened for today, to take the floor to make statements on topics that were not on the agenda”, says the minority city councilor. “It was considered by the Prime Minister, with the support of the municipal secretary and with the complicit silence of the mayor and council, that this faculty, although expressly regulated by the provisions cited, was not my prerogative because the municipal council had been established according to different methods from the ordinary ones (sic, actually sigh!)”, Marcianò remarks. “This is a certain blunder, or more likely a premeditated and instrumental quibble to prevent the only two minority councilors present and interested in intervening, from introducing interlocutions referring to the known facts, which came to light after the date of convocation of the council meeting”highlights Marcianò.
“Another inconceivable violence to the detriment of democratic dialectics, with the wicked aim of maintaining silence on alarming situations on which preliminary investigations for serious crimes are underway. I would have liked to remind the Mayor and all my colleagues that we need to live for politics and not for politics, otherwise we risk being swallowed up by the base logic of the desire for power as an end in itself. My cry would probably have fallen on deaf ears, but I would never have imagined that I would even be denied the right to express my indignant opinion on the facts“, concludes Marcianò.
