Caserta, woman reports violent partner, he attacks the Carabinieri: arrested

Caserta. Tired of the constant violence suffered by her partner in recent years, a 33-year-old woman from Orta di Atella found the strength to report the attacks and ask for help.

This morning, the woman, in a clear state of agitation and fear for her own safety and that of her three minor children, presented herself at the Carabinieri station in Orta di Atella. She formalized the complaint and expressed her desire to never return home.

Welcomed and reassured by the Carabinieri, the woman asked to be hosted, together with her children, in a protected structure far from her attacker.

The intervention of the Carabinieri and the arrest of the violent companion

The Carabinieri, after having started the procedures for placing the woman and her children in a suitable structure, went to the house to recover some personal effects.

Once on site, they informed the woman’s family of the situation and of her transfer to a protected facility. At that point, the companion, upon hearing the news, flew into a rage and began to rail against the Carabinieri.

He broke the glass of a door and tried to drive away by car, but was blocked and arrested by the military. The 33-year-old man will have to answer for resisting and violence against a public official and for making serious threats.
