On 15 and 16 June at the Pertini Center in via Dei Salici 9 in Legnano, Anpi will celebrate its 80 years of history through a party with events, book presentations, concerts, lunches and dinners.

The historic president of Anpi Legnano, now appointed provincial president, Primo Minelli, spoke about the party:

“The idea of ​​the party has been maturing in our sections for a long time and with the advent of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the association (1944), the party has come to fruition – stated Minelli – The objective of the initiative is to to try to make an active memory: there is someone who in these days wants to change the Constitution and continues to invoke the Decima Mas which was the worst of the worst in the history of fascism in our country”.

There will be moments of real celebration with two concerts that will speak to the intermediate generations but also to young people; on Saturday afternoon we will have the vice president as a guest Vicar Carlo Ghezzi who will talk about current political events. “Our association has grown by 7% in Italy and in the province a few more points and we continue to be an important democratic point of reference – continued Minelli – We have 460 members in Legnano, 100 in Parabiago, 110 in Canegrate, 110 in Rescaldina and 45 in San Giorgio su Legnano and 12,500 at the provincial level. We are supported by the Pertini Center because they are structured to respond to recreational and eating needs. It is the first edition for this provincial festival but we hope to make it a tradition.”

During the two days of celebration, there will also be book presentations: “United in the same struggle. Memoirs of Matteotti ”(authors Tommaso and Stefano Catone),“ Mauro Venegoni and his brothers ”by Renato Pasquetto and the presentation of the book“ The Beast of Bolzano ”with author Stefano Catone.
