Remed’ step towards responsible waste management”

“Participation in the ‘TakeBack: ReMed’ project represents a further step towards promoting sustainable practices and responsible waste management in our territory. This is a pilot project that could contribute to further improving the share of recycled waste in our city, which already stands at 81% of separated waste collection”. This is what Gianluca Borghi, councilor for Environmental, Energy and Mobility Sustainability of the Municipality of Parma, declared, commenting on the start of the pilot phase of the ‘TakeBack: ReMed’ project, the initiative for the collection and recycling of pre-filled injection devices , promoted for the first time in Italy by Novo Nordisk. The pilot phase of the project has started in Turin and Parma and will soon also involve Bologna, following the approval of the project by the municipal council.

“The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the ‘TakeBack: ReMed’ project – adds Ettore Brianti, Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Parma – demonstrates our commitment to improving the quality of life of citizens, while ensuring a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations. The initiative not only offers concrete solutions for the management of medical waste, but also promotes social awareness on the importance of health and environmental protection,” he concludes.
