PISTOIA – An encounter with the works of three artists from Pistoia. This is the way that the Pistoia section of the Italian Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association has chosen to honor Global day, the global commitment to raising awareness of the disease and its consequences.

So on Friday 14 June from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the Coop Members’ Room, in Viale Adua in Pistoia, a meeting will be held with the works of three Pistoia artists, Aldo Frosini, Marcello Lucarelli and Lando Landini, presented by the Pistoia collector Luigi Masala, who to do so he will use a series of slides as well as his personal knowledge of the three painters.

“We want to affirm – explains Aisla’s Pistoia representative, Daniela Morandi Matteoli – that there is a cure for this terrible disease. At the moment it only affects 2% of those affected, those who have the Sod 1 mutation. But research continues to find a definitive remedy. That in Pistoia we have a small but efficient center for ALS patients, coordinated by doctor Chiara Sonnoli and that aids for patients are provided by the regional health service. So donating your money to Aisla Pistoia means guaranteeing better assistance to the approximately forty Pistoia residents affected by ALS and funding for research into the disease. The research continues also thanks to you. We hope many of you will come”.

Thus, participants in the initiative on Friday the 14th are asked to contribute with a minimum donation of 5 euros.

At the end, the Pistoia section of Coop members, which collaborated in organizing the event, will offer an aperitif to all those who will be present.
