(REGFLASH) Pescara, 11 June. The undersecretary with responsibility for Tourism, Daniele D’Amario, this morning in Pescara, in the Region, participated in the presentation of the initiative “The coast of trabocchi from another perspective”, promoted by the Gal “Costa dei trabocchi” together with the the Bosso group. Also speaking at the meeting with the press were the president of the Gal Costa dei Trabocchi, Francesco Di Vincenzo, the director of the Gal, Carlo Ricci, and Paolo Setta, director of tourist activities of the il Bosso group.

“The marine ecosystem of the Costa dei trabocchi is a heritage to be valorised and made accessible – declared Undersecretary D’Amario – and also represents a novelty in terms of tourism marketing seen in Abruzzo we have always been accustomed to considering the coastal area on the basis of traditional canons”.

Educational sessions, workshops and reflections on the opportunities for valorising the territory will take place from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th in San Vito Chietino, Ortona and Casalbordino and in Rocca San Giovanni. The objective is to extend the experiential tourism activity also to the marine ecosystems of the Abruzzo coast, in particular that of the trabocchi. Specifically, on Saturday 15th, in Rocca San Giovanni, starting from 10.00 am, in the wine tower of Cantina frentana, a workshop open to administrators, stakeholders and tourist operators is scheduled. This is the event “Visions and future opportunities for the Costa dei trabocchi from another perspective”, analysis and comparison on underwater studies and monitoring which will be presented by a qualified panel of experts.
