This morning around 8, the last package from the electoral sections arrived, exactly 32, and therefore they are now official, after verification of section 1, the data of the administrative elections of 8 and 9 June have been made official which led to the reconfirmation of Salvatore Quinci as head of the City of Mazara del Vallo.

Salvatore Quinci, with 12,451 preferences and 46.68%, is the first mayor in the history of the City to be elected in the first round. The lawyer Vita Maria Ippolito received 8,345 votes equal to 31.28%. Nicola Cristaldi instead obtained 5,879 votes equal to 22.04%.

Salvatore Quinci’s coalition obtained 10,570 votes, equal to 41.19%, distributed as follows: Political Participation 1,941 (7.56%), Salvatore Quinci Mayor 2,674 (10.42%), Brothers of Italy 2,257 (8.8% ), Osservatorio Politico 2,179 (8.49%) and Libertà 1,519 (5.92%). Therefore Salvatore Quinci gets 1,881 more votes than the lists linked to him.

Vita Maria Ippolito’s coalition obtained 9,644 votes, equal to 37.58%, distributed as follows: Nuova Energia Popolare 686 (2.67%), Forza Italia 2,484 votes (9.68%), Christian Democracy 2996 votes (11.67 %), Popolari e Autonomisti/La Forza dei Fatti 2,180 votes (8.5%) and Più Vita 1,298 votes (5.06%). Therefore Vita Maria Ippolito gets 1,299 votes less than the lists linked to her.

Nicola Cristaldi’s Coalition obtained 5,448 votes, equal to 21.23%, distributed as follows: Futurists 1,495 votes (5.83%), Pride and Future 1,456 votes (5.67%), Cristaldi Mayor 1,640 votes (6.39% ) and Democratic Movement 857 votes (3.34%). Therefore Nicola Cristaldi gets 431 votes more than the lists linked to him.

The only two lists not to exceed the 5% threshold are New Energy Popular and Movimento Democratico which therefore do not compete in the allocation of seats.

But let’s see the candidates elected: Aleandro Gilante (408 votes) and Toni Russo (360 votes) for the DC, Giuseppe Bonanno (293 votes) for the Futurists, Michele Reina (404 votes) for Forza Italia, Giorgio Randazzo (405 votes) for Pride and Future, Francesco Foggia (Popolari e Autonomisti/La Forza dei Fatti) who with his 939 votes appears to be the most voted candidate and will therefore preside over the first session of the City Council, Pietro Marino (536 votes) for Cristaldi Mayor, Antonella Coronetta (263 votes) for More Life, Vita Maria Ippolito as the losing Mayor, for the opposition.

The candidates elected by the majority are: Pietro Ferro (444 votes), Gianfranco Casale (331 votes) and Paola Galuffo (274 votes) for Political Participation, Francesco Di Liberti (487 votes), Paola Caltagirone (288 votes), Valentina Grillo (261 votes) and Germana Abbagnato (231) for Salvatore Quinci Mayor, Dario Scaletta (397 votes), Francesco Giacalone (336 votes) and Giampaolo Caruso (306 votes) for Fratelli d’Italia, Francesca Calcara (412 votes), Massimo Giardina (301 votes) and Bice Mineo (273 votes) for Osservatorio Politico, Giovanni Iacono (423 votes) and Eleonora Arena (348 votes) for Libertà.

It should be considered that the designated Councilors Gianfranco Casale and Germana Abbagnato could resign and give space to the first of the non-elected members of the respective lists.

Naturally, as regards the elected candidates, this is our prediction, we await the verification of section 1, and the definitive calculation of the distribution of seats to the majority.
