Cinisello, redevelopment of the former Kanthal area: “This is how the vision of the city takes shape”

“The vision of the Cinisello Balsamo of the future is taking shape thanks to yet another redevelopment work, approved in the last meeting of the City Council”. Thus, in a note, the forces of the center right of Cinisellese on the matter of the former Kanthal area, an industrial area that has been abandoned for over 10 years, located between via Alberti, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Leonardo Da Vinci, whose redevelopment project will see the demolition of the old industrial building (approximately 7,750 m2) to make room for the construction of a new commercial structure on two levels with public parking.

The plan also includes the redevelopment of the surrounding perimeter, with the creation of innovative and modern public works and roads, cycle and pedestrian paths and a new roundabout to facilitate mobility in the area. In addition, thanks to the recovery of a green area owned by the municipality, play equipment will be installed for children.

“This redevelopment plan – continues the note –, combined with the works financed with PNRR fundssuch as the new sports center and the children’s centre, will allow the Bellaria district to be given new lifeblood, making it increasingly functional to the needs and expectations of citizens”.

Finally, a jab at the opposition: “To the always instrumental, specious and misleading criticisms of the left, according to which we do not have a vision of the city, we respond with the strength of concreteness, planning and putting into practice an increasingly competitive, innovative and sustainable, capable of providing its citizens with a real solution to their needs”. The Democratic Party had expressed quite a few criticisms of the project and some public meetings had been organized to address some aspects considered critical.
