It happened to a young man of twenty on the replacement bus of the train service from Bergamo to Ponte San Pietro

The boot door of a bus closes and the passenger remains trapped, traveling locked inside for half an hour. The incredible journey, fortunately with a happy ending, happened to a young man of twenty on the replacement bus of the railway service from Bergamo to Ponte San Pietro. The story is reported by The Echo of Bergamo who explained how the boy was trying to load the scooter onto the replacement bus of the same private transport company that had been entrusted with the service.

The twenty-year-old would have arrived at the stop shortly before the bus left, asking the driver to load the scooter in the trunk. Since it was equipped with an electronic opening, the driver did not get out of the vehicle.
It took the boy longer to find space among the other passengers’ luggage and the driver, believing that the young man had gotten on with the other travellers, closed the electronic tailgate, jamming the young man inside as well. At the next stop, the unfortunate man managed to get off. The transport company also announced that it had called the driver to pay greater attention and renewed its invitation to passengers never to enter the luggage compartment, asking the driver for help in case of need. The matter is being brought to the attention of Trenord, which is responsible for organizing the railway replacement service.
