The first addition to the high ball forward fleet of the renewed Itas Trentino of the women’s Serie A2 is Dominika Giuliani. The spiker from Brianza, one of the main prospects of Italian volleyball, will in fact wear the yellow-blue shirt in the 2024/25 season, guaranteeing quality, physicality and unpredictability in place 4 of the sextet led by Davide Mazzanti.
Born in Vimercate on 26 November 2004, Dominika grew up in the ranks of Club Italia, the federal project that brings together the best talents of Italian volleyball. With the blue shirt he played three high-level championships in Serie A2 between 2020 and 2023, before the big leap into the top flight, which came after a year, spent as captain, in which he achieved the beauty of 289 points in the 31 matches played. In the season just ended, the Lombard spiker, making her debut in A1, defended the colors of Uyba Busto Arsizio, closing the championship with a personal haul of 48 points.
For years now she has been a cornerstone of the youth national teams, with which she has won several medals: Silver at the Under 18 World Championships played in Mexico in 2021, Gold at the 2022 European Championships with the Under 19s and Silver at the Under 21 World Championships which were also staged in Mexico in 2023. Her journey with the blue shirt will continue this summer too: Dominika has in fact been included in the list of seventeen athletes, together with the yellow-blue center forward Giulia Marconato, who are currently playing a training internship at the Pavesi Center in Milan in view of the Under 22 European Championship, scheduled in Italy, in Taranto and Lecce, from 1 to 6 July.
