LIVORNO It’s time for “Besame” in Fortezza Vecchia, the format by Luca Menicagli (for Menicagli Pianoforti) on Sunday 9 June. The container, now in its third year of life, success after success, is designed to recreate around the “Fortezza Bar”, the bistro bar of the Quadratura dei Pisani directed by Monica Franceschini, the perfect “lounge” atmosphere for the calasole aperitif , from 7pm onwards (concert at 9.30pm).
Giannino himself will liven up the stage tonight, with his magical trio “Giannino & Friends”. Giannino Di Giovanni needs no introduction, “Giannino” is the Island of Elba, the man who invented summer nightlife on Elba with his “Giannino Live Music” which he managed for forty years. Giannino is also an excellent drummer and with him on stage there will be Fabio Marchiori on piano and Daniele Giachi on guitar (and vocals).
In the lineup, Italian and foreign music from the Sixties onwards, the true rhythm of the summer. The trio forms a powerful unicum, both thanks to the skill of the individual artists involved, and in terms of musical experience and curriculum: Giachi, charismatic and very nice frontman, has hundreds of concerts behind him, Fabio Marchiori, keyboard player, has always been one of the musicians alongside Bobo Rondelli. Giannino explains: “Ours is a musical show that involves and satisfies every generation and where everyone has fun – musicians and audiences, because you can sing, dance or just listen. In short, everyone can do what they want.” And this is exactly the spirit of “Besame” (in fact the trio has already performed in previous years). Menicagli Pianoforti takes care of the Fortezza Vecchia season on behalf of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea Port System Authority – over 150 events scheduled in just under 4 months. “Besame” (entrance 10 euros) is one of the formats created by Luca Menicagli, the others are “Sguardi in Fortezza”, every Monday evening (starting from 10 June) and “Jazz Meets”, every Wednesday evening. The calendar of the Fortezza will see its culmination in the month of July when, among others, Dario Ballantini in “Ballantini & Petrolini” (3 July), Roberto Vecchioni (8 July), Ricchi e Poveri (18 July) will arrive in Livorno.
