After announcing the first musical guest of the event, the rapper Il Tre, the Connessioni festival reveals the second name of the 2024 edition, for the first time in Cuneo: it is BigMama, with his Sangue Summer Tour.
She was one of the protagonists of the last Amadeus Sanremo Festival and of the May Day Concert. BigMama, pseudonym of Marianna Mammone, is ready to bring her energy to Cuneo with a tour that promises to be “exciting”, according to the organizers of Connessioni. After the release of her first album Sangue, which contains the Sanremo single La rage non ti basta, already a gold record, BigMama will play her hits throughout the summer.
The artist was born in San Michele di Serino, in the province of Avellino, she graduated from scientific high school and then moved to Milan in 2018 and studied urban planning at the Polytechnic of Milan. She started writing her first songs at the age of 13. In 2016, at the age of 16, she released her first songs. In 2022 she debuted with her first album Next Big Thing, which was followed by a series of concerts. Then the consecration at the concert on May 1st in Rome. At the 2023 Sanremo Festival she duetted with Elodie, singing American Woman by The Guess Who, in July of the same year she performed in the best Italian festivals.
In February 2024, he participated as a competing competitor in the 74th Sanremo Festival with the song La rage non ti Basta, finishing in twenty-second position in the final ranking. In April, it was announced that the artist would host a special preview, exclusively for RaiPlay, of the May Day Concert, broadcast on Rai 3 and Rai Radio 2. In the same month he anticipated the publication of his first autobiography, Cento eyes, scheduled for May 14: the book was published by Rizzoli. The participation in the Una charity initiative is more recent. None. One hundred thousand – in the Arena to help women victims of violence. After the surprise duet at the Verona Arena, Alessandra Amoroso and BigMama announced their first single together with the title Mezzo Rotto.
BigMama will perform at the NUoVO cultural center on Friday 13 September and will bring her summer tour “Sangue Summer Tour ’24” to Cuneo, tickets for which are on sale on the Ticketone platform.
