Ragusa – In reference to the disservices reported during the program “Fuori dal coro” broadcast on Wednesday evening on Rete 4, the ASP of Ragusa specifies that the failure of the CT scan at the “Maggiore-Baglieri” hospital in Modica was limited only for the days from 28 May to the afternoon of 3 June and that, in any case, all the scheduled tests were carried out in other hospitals in the province, namely Scicli and Ragusa.
Since 3 June, both new generation CT scans purchased by the health authority with Pnrr funds have been operational and came into operation well in advance of the date of 30 September, the deadline indicated at a national level for the activation of the large Pnrr equipment. However, the ASP apologizes for the inconvenience caused to users who had to face an unexpected move. As regards the therapies to be carried out with the linear accelerator, there was no disruption because the two machines at the “Maria Paternò Arezzo” hospital in Ragusa were in regular operation. The replacement of these two linear accelerators with two new instruments is already planned, but the procedure will be performed alternately so as not to stop the therapies administered to patients. If a problem should arise during this transition phase, continuity of care will always be guaranteed thanks to an agreement with the ASP of Syracuse.
