The municipal administration of Materawith the urban mobility department, started on June 22nd the special bus line to Cava del sole “David Sassoli” and the Park of the rock churches.
The mayor, Domenico Bennardi, and the Mobility Councilor Giuseppe Digilio gave the news.
The service will be active on the days of:
- and then 6–7–13–14–20–21–27 and 28 July;
- every day in August,
- on 1–7–8–14–15–21–22–28 and 29 September.
They will be carried out runs every 60 minutes, with first departure at 10 am in front of Piazza Matteotti (route from: via U. La Malfa – via Dante – via Don L. Sturzo – via Nazionale – C.da Quartarella – C.da La Vaglia – C.da Pantano cemetery area – SS 7 – Entrance to Parco della Murgia Jazzo Gattini – San Falcione – Piazzale Belvedere). The last one returning from the Belvedere is at 12.30 pm (route from: Piazzale Belvedere – San Falcione – Parco della Murgia Jazzo Gattini exit – SS 7 – C.da Pantano cemetery area – C.da La Vaglia – C.da Quartarella – via Nazionale – via Don Luigi Sturzo – via Dante – via Ugo La Malfa – piazza Matteotti), it will end at 12.50 in front of Piazza Matteotti.
After the lunch break, at 4pm the service will restart in front of Piazza Matteotti until the last return, scheduled for 8.30pm from the Belvedere and terminus at 8.50pm again in Piazza Matteotti.

“We wanted to create this special line to facilitate above all the tourists (as well as obviously the residents) who flock to the city these days, in addition to its valuable naturalistic and artistic places”.
