Turn at Casole or at least a change of course. The provincial coordination of Fratelli d’Italia has released a document relating to the situation of the Municipality of Casole, after extensive in-depth analysis at various levels. “In Casole there are three candidates for mayor – states Giorgia Meloni’s party -, and for the local elections the Brothers of Italy will not give any indication of the vote in Casole, but notes the presence of reference candidates of the democratic party in the list civic ‘Casole Futura’ of Pieragnoli, which we cannot fail to take note of. Some candidates for the municipal council on the ‘Casole Futura’ list are openly inclined towards, registered with and close to the Democratic Party and have public positions of clear hostility and aversion to the Meloni Government. This is legitimate, let’s be clear, but Fdi cannot support groups within which there are members of the opposition to the Meloni Government”. Consequently, Fratelli d’Italia, with this declaration, withdraws itself from the municipal electoral competition, highlighting however that it cannot align itself with political projects that involve people in the Democratic Party. In reference to this, Andrea Pieragnoli preferred not to comment on what Fdi expressed, referring to further press releases in support of his candidates for the city council or in support of him. It doesn’t end here because an electoral initiative is also planned in Casole. One of the closing events of the European electoral campaign is scheduled. The appointment is for this Friday, or today, at 1pm: the candidate for the European Parliament Francesco Torselli will be in Casole, but there will also be an impact on the local elections. In giving freedom to vote in the administrative elections, Fratelli d’Italia will therefore reiterate the indication of voting in the European elections for Torselli, we will see who will take up this appeal. This news could shuffle the cards in the Casolo elections deck, this is not known, certainly the challenge is very felt. And it is also true that elections are more a game of chess than a game of cards. In Casole d’Elsa there are three candidates running to win the local elections: the outgoing Andrea Pieragnoli of Casole Futura, Federico Verponziani of Noi Ci Cerchi and Alfio Barbagallo of Pensare Comune. On Monday 10 June in the afternoon we will know who is called to be mayor, the decision will be up to the people of Casolo.
