In a few days at the Bacigalupo stadium there will be the ‘High School Festival’, the protagonists will be the high school students of Savona with DJ sets and much more. A bit like what many envisioned for the stadium, that it would return to what it once was and in addition to hosting football matches it would also be a venue for concerts and major sporting events.
Today, however, the situation has changed and the relaunch of the stadium is awaited and hoped for by many. However, as usual, the problem is resources and neither the Municipality nor the sports clubs would have enough to carry out interventions such as the arrangement of the stands and the laying of the synthetic surface.
“We intend to organize a public initiative by July in which to take stock of the situation in Bacigalupo – explains the Sports councilor Francesco Rossello. An initiative open to everyone, in particular to interested sports clubs.”
One of the most debated issues this year regarding the stadium is the synthetic surface. “There is no economic capacity on the part of the Municipality to cover this expense – adds Rossello – in other cities of a size like ours, without talking about Milan or Rome, there is collaboration between the Municipality and the relevant sports clubs”.
The Municipality made the turf where the teams train but cannot play matches. For Palazzo Sisto it is important to start restarting the stadium and then see if there is the possibility of making further steps forward, joining forces, with the synthetic and the arrangement of the stands.
