“In recent days there has been “sensational” news that the Court of Auditors of Milan condemns Lucchina, former director of health for Lombardy, in the Eluana Englaro case; she will have to repay the 175 thousand euros paid by the Region to her father Beppino as compensation for her: she had in fact had to transfer her daughter to Friuli, where her treatment had been interrupted”. The Calabria Region Coordinator stated this in a note Sovereign People’s Democracy, Giuseppe Modafferi.
“We therefore note that the Court of Auditors works when it wants to. Starting from this assumption we invite the Calabrian Court of Auditors, and also the Prosecutor’s Office (zealous in many cases) to investigate the “cycle path destruction” case in Reggio Calabria. Below is a brief summary of the urban disaster, for which to date the real costs, those responsible and therefore the sanctions necessary for pedagogical purposes have not been identified”.
“In November, together with a civic choir, we raised the case, expressing strong doubts about the validity of the project and its implementation; despite the manifest and widespread popular dissent, technical administrators and the company drilled the entire city from North to South, main and secondary streets, creating traffic disruptions and damage to the road surface (which itself was already bombed). It was triumphantly announced that we would have access to a loan of 4.5 million euros from PNRR if the first batch envisaged by the galactic project was decently completed by 12/31/2023″.
“Well, today everyone knows the buck-passing of responsibility filled with various idiocies, it is clear that the project has evolved from galactic to ovine, and as a tangible result today we have large areas of the city with the residues of the crazy and compulsive drilling, with a shameful urban degradation (Via Roma – Via Enotria – Via Italia – Viale Amendola – Bretelle Calopinace – etc.), for the citizen of Reggio the classic case described by popular culture is configured: “cu panaru… ruttu e senza cirasi”. In the face of similar havoc, with consequent squandering of public money, we invite the Court of Auditors (possibly the Public Prosecutor’s Office) to identify the responsibilities and apply the “Milan” method, making those who objectively caused a disaster pay, either through bad faith or due to incompetence.”
“The dynamic sports Prefect of Reggio Calabria, SE Clara Vaccaro, recently invited citizens to be indignant, and we agree with her, but the indignation of citizens is of little use, which among other things has been flowing copiously for years, if the institutions democratic people live in a chronic and blissful lethargic state, for years various citizens have expressed their indignation with initiatives of various kinds (complaints, sit-ins, press releases, reports to the Prefecture), but in the face of indignant reports we find the religious silence of the institutions that they would have the duty to control and sanction”.
“We trust that in this clear case of an “urban disaster”, the control bodies will take action and respond to the profound indignation of a large part of the exhausted and mortified population of Reggio. While waiting for the miracle, we remain confident and hopeful.”
