The second edition of “Companies in class” concluded positively

Novara – With eight schools and 11 companies involved, the results of the second edition of “Companies in class” are growing, the new initiative of the Small Industry Committee of Confindustria Novara Vercelli Valsesia (Cnvv) to bring the worlds of school and business closer together, contributing to the professional orientation of the young generations. Launched in an experimental phase in the spring of 2023, “Companies in class” joins and integrates the series of guided tours of companies that take place on the occasion of the SME Day “Industriamoci”.

«In this case – explains the president of the Small Industry Committee of CNVV, Giorgio Baldini – we organized a series of meetings with a few hours of teaching by entrepreneurs within the fourth and fifth classes of secondary schools, with the The aim is to illustrate to the students, based on the agreements made with the teachers, how the subjects and topics they study are reflected in the world of production and work”.

Having begun in mid-December 2023 with Moveco’s interventions at the “Da Vinci” ITI in Borgomanero (No), dedicated to mechanical processing cycles and the organization and management of a project, the lessons continued until May 30th, when Loro Piana illustrated the functions and roles of professional figures in a company in the textile/fashion sector at the Ipsia “Magni” in Borgosesia (Vc). In the same institute, lessons were held by Gessi on the production of taps, from the bar to the finished product, and by Energy Saving on energy communities. The ITI “Galilei” of Santhià (Vc) hosted the lessons of Geonovis (dedicated to renewable energies, industrial electrical panels, photovoltaics and air conditioning energy systems) and of MWI on computer systems and networks. Monterosa 2000 dedicated meetings on commercial services and tourism to the “Cavour” and “Lanino” of Vercelli, while the IEM Italia lessons were held at the ITI “Omar” of Novara (on renewable energy and energy saving in companies) and by Fratelli Zanetti on foundry and molding. Setvis-Fisat spoke about molding of plastic materials and types of plastic materials used at the “Faccio” in Vercelli, while Tecnogalvano illustrated the chrome plating techniques at the “Da Vinci” in Borgomanero and chemical analysis of materials at the “Lirelli ” of Borgosesia.

«Many members of our Committee held the meetings – specifies Baldini – and I sincerely thank them for their commitment, just as I thank the managers and teachers of all the schools involved for their availability and their interest, as well as the students who they followed with great attention. We are satisfied with the feedback obtained, with a total of almost 200 participants in the lessons, and we hope that this initiative can grow further in future editions.”
