Sixteen volunteers from the Universal Civil Service were welcomed to Municipality of Monza at the start of their year at city hall. The meeting took place in the room in the presence of the Youth Councilor, Andreina Fumagalliand it was also aopportunity for comparison.

They are assigned various roles: seven as volunteers in the municipal librariesfour in nurseriestwo in the Civil protection and one at the Service Environmental Assessments – Energy, heating systems and networks. Two further volunteers will finally begin the Civil Service year in nests of San Fruttuoso and San Rocco starting from 6 June. Yesterday represented not only a first moment of welcome, but also an opportunity for discussion with young people to introduce them to the reality of the Municipality and listen to their thoughts, their expectations and their first impressions.

“There participation in the Universal Civil Service – observes the youth councilor – it is both an opportunity for maturation and training for those who participate and a precious and concrete contribution to the work carried out by the Municipality and, consequently, an added value for the community”.
