June 4th, student art and creativity day

Tomorrow 4 June the city of Andria celebrates the Day of Student Art and Creativity. Organized by the “G. Colasanto” Art School of Andria and the municipal Radici Department, the initiative scheduled from 10 am until late afternoon will enliven the city centre, in the area between viale Crispi and via Regina Margherita, with impromptu performances by drawing, painting and sculpture, with exhibitions of graphic/pictorial, sculptural and photographic works set up in various points by the students themselves, interactive games, photo shoots along the pedestrian area.

The students of the Art High School will parade dressed as living works of art and characters from the films of the well-known director Tim Burton, to whom Turin has dedicated an exhibition this year. But the activity highlight that the students planned with the help of the teachers in agreement with the Municipal Administration – Department of Roots is the decoration of the 15 vases containing the ornamental olive trees positioned in via Regina Margherita. Olive trees that always tomorrow at 8pm, with an official moment, will be delivered with this new restyling to the Municipal Administration. The “Student Art and Creativity Day” was organized by the head teacher of the Colasanto institute, prof. Cosimo Antonino Strazzeri, from the school manager of the Graphic Art Photography and Territory Project, Silvia D’Avanzo, from the Radici councilor Cesare Troia with the mayor Giovanna Bruno: the initiative aims on the one hand to strengthen the students’ self-esteem, who thus have the opportunity to demonstrate what they can do, but also to contribute to animating the city with art in all its forms. Art Day helps strengthen the links between creativity and society, encourages greater awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions and reminds us that art can unite and connect us even in the most difficult moments.
