Benevento: persecutes neighbors, residence ban for a woman. Following a targeted investigation activity coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Benevento, today, personnel of the Flying Squad of the Benevento Police Headquarters executed an order for the application of the measure of the residence ban in Benevento issued by the Judge for the Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Benevento, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Benevento, against a woman resident in the city capital for the crimes of persecution against some neighbors as well as her daughter – not living in the same building – of an elderly neighbor.
The investigations were started following the complaints filed by all the condominium owners and in particular by the aforementioned offended persons in April 2024 which revealed the harassing and threatening conduct carried out by today’s suspect, but also by her minor children, such as to determine a persistent and serious state of anxiety and fear as well as a well-founded fear for one’s own safety. In particular, the accused threatened the offended people both on the occasion of interventions by the prosecutor requested by them precisely because of their own behavior or that of their children and at other times also for reasons related to parking the cars, intimidating the offended people and making their lives impossible. .
The declarations of the police were corroborated by the declarations of other condominium owners, by the service notes relating to the police interventions carried out at the building and also by videos and audio produced by the police themselves, forced to install a camera precisely to protect themselves from the continuous incursions especially by the minor children of today’s suspect, from which full confirmation emerged of their narration and therefore of their reliability.
The provision implemented today is a precautionary measure ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
