“Benevento is at the national top for the progress made in terms of ecological transition. We are first in the South and in the national top five of the Censis-Green Blue ranking: a splendid result that rewards planning in the sector of environmental protection, soil, landscape and eco-energy quality”, explains the mayor Clemente Mastella.
“Benevento faced the green transition with courage. We have renewed the fleet of city buses with zero-emission and latest generation vehicles. Through an agreement with an important company in the sector, we will also be ready for the medium-large scale diffusion of electric vehicles with the installation of numerous columns, we have opened up to energy communities as an intelligent form of transition towards forms of sustainable consumption.
There is an overall plan for a greener and more European city: we have planted, and will continue, thousands of trees through our own initiatives or in partnership. From the municipal Villa to the De Mita Park, to the numerous play areas for children or gardens for leisure, we favor an eco-compatible and environmentally friendly vision. This further record, certified by a prestigious institute like Censis, is proof of the goodness of the Benevento model”, concludes Mastella.
