Bad weather, weather alert is triggered in Lombardy

The bad weather still does not leave Italy. The Civil Protection has issued a yellow weather warning for today due to the risk of thunderstorms in eight regions in both the North and the South. The first part of the week will, in fact, be characterized by thunderstorms and strong winds. This is why the weather warning was issued for Abruzzo, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Puglia, Tuscany and Umbria. Ordinary criticality for hydraulic risk, however in Veneto in particular for the “Basso Brenta-Bacchiglione and Fratta Gorzone, the Adige-Garda and the Lessini mountains, the Po, the Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco and the Lower Adige”.

As Antonio Sanò, founder of the site www.-, writes
next week the African anticyclone will gradually begin to advance towards our country. Between today and tomorrow we will still have residual thunderstorms in the North and in some regions of the Centre, while from Wednesday the 5th high pressure will invade all of Italy guaranteeing largely sunny and gradually warmer weather. By the second weekend of June, maximum values will reach 30°C in most Italian regions, even in the plains.

“Between today and tomorrow we will have a passage of unstable currents coming from northern Europe which will bring a few more storms, and the central-northern regions will be at greater risk” meteorologist Mattia Gussoni explains to Adnkronos. “From Wednesday 5 June there could be a turning point and summer could take flight, given that from the middle of next week the African anticyclone will advance towards the Mediterranean basin so there will be more sun across Italy. It will be quite hot because there are masses of hot air arriving from Africa, which will bring temperatures to 30-32 degrees in the central south and the heat will also begin to be felt on the northern plains”.

“The trend is still instability, therefore alternation between sunny moments and rainy phases, with showers and thunderstorms that will mainly wet the North, until the first half of this week” meteorologist Andrea Giuliacci tells Adnkronos. “In the second part of next week – concludes Giuliacci – the probable arrival of high pressure and therefore a prevalence of stable and dry weather throughout Italy with rising temperatures and a taste of summer heat, especially in the South”.
