For a Ferrara at the center of technological innovation

My experience in the field of technology and innovation, as an IT director, convinced me of an idea: creating an attractive ecosystem for high-tech companies is a fundamental move for a sustainable evolution of the economy of our province.

The first step must be to invest in adequate technological infrastructure. Fiber optics and 5G are essential to guarantee a fast and reliable connection, and thus support the growth of innovative businesses. It is also necessary to create modern shared places such as technology hubs, incubators and coworking spaces, encouraging collaboration between companies, universities and start-ups.

And it is precisely the University of Ferrara, with its six hundred year long academic tradition, an extraordinary strong point to be used for the benefit of the entire territory. Collaborating with the University and forging partnerships with higher education institutions can accelerate research and development, attract new talent and ensure that STEM graduates remain in our area, contributing to local economic growth.

Naturally, to encourage technology companies to set up in Ferrara, the tax lever cannot be overlooked. Offering tax advantages and facilitating access to public and private funding will allow us to support innovative projects and create new job opportunities.

From this perspective, it is crucial to promote Ferrara also as a center of technological excellence. Organizing events, conferences, workshops and hackathons dedicated to the ICT sector will not only encourage the exchange of ideas, but will position our city as a point of reference for innovation. The exhibition system must be enhanced with events dedicated to technological innovation, to attract talent and offer SMEs in our area the same opportunities as large organisations.

This is the future I imagine for Ferrara: a city that invests in its resources, creates opportunities and becomes a point of reference for technological innovation. Together we can build a dynamic and prosperous environment, where technology and innovation play a key role in the development of the city.
