The personal exhibition of the master Giò Cucchiara returns

BRINDISI – As part of the cultural activities parallel to the international Brindisi-Corfù regatta, from next Sunday (2 June) to 9 June, at the “Casa del Turista”, on the Regina Margherita seafront, the personal exhibition will take place for the second consecutive year by the master Giò Cucchiara entitled: “at the tip of… pencil”. The event, sponsored by the municipality of Brindisi, already last year achieved an important success in terms of attendance of the public in attendance and web views of the works represented, all created in pencil (graphite and charcoal), with the techniques of realism and hyperrealism, inspired by personal photographs or shots by well-known photographers on the national and international scene.

Gio’ CucchiarA, Sicilian, born in ’62, has worked in the art sector for over 30 years as responsible for the logistics and production of art books and multiples, such as sculptures and graphics, for a well-known Italian company. In recent years he has participated in various artistic events and competitions, particularly distinguishing himself for his talent.

Among the awards received, we highlight the second place at the XVI National Art Prize of the City of Novara held in 2017 and in November 2023 the first place in the graphic arts category at the XIII Image Festival “International Art Exhibition and Competition” by Martina Frank.

For the occasion, some works dedicated to the world of sailing were created, among which “The Mexican” deserves particular attention, destined for the winner of the Italian offshore sailing championship which will be held in our city also in the month of June.
