Painless defeat for Pero who, in the second leg of the third round of the playoffs, was beaten 3-1 on the Bari parquet of Soccer Altamura, but qualified for the Promotion Finals in Faenza on 31 May and 1 June thanks to the 3-0 success of Vista Vision Arena in the match -1.
The match at the Altamura arena immediately went well for Pero, taking the lead after just a minute with a pass from Giuliano for Cascio, who unlocked it with a surgical left-footed shot. Shortly afterwards Cascio herself came close to scoring an encore on the counterattack. At the end of the first half, Soccer Altamura takes the center of the ring and 35 seconds before the break balances it with a shot from outside the area by Malda.
The second half opens with another opportunity for Cascio, who, served by Giuliano at the far post, misses the target. Then Lanza makes a couple of good interventions. The 1-1 draw lasts until 6′ from the end, when with the goalkeeper moving, Altamura takes the lead through Castro. With 1′ to go the Apulians also score the 3-1 with a tap-in from Pedroso, but Pero grits his teeth and keeps the promotion dream alive.
