The Air company Emirates is preparing to hire 5 thousand new flight attendants with a massive staff recruitment campaign ahead of the imminent arrival of its new fleet of new Airbus A350s. This is a global cabin crew recruitment campaign aimed primarily at young people since to apply you don’t need to have great experience in the field but you can also be a beginner in the hospitality or customer service sector.
The characteristics for applying for a job
The airline is inviting graduates, diploma holders and young professionals from around the world to apply to increase its cabin crew workforce by as much as 25%. To apply there are some fundamental physical characteristics such as the height of at least 160 cm and not exceeding 212 cm and be at least 21 years of age. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is also essential (knowledge of other languages is an advantage), a high school education and at least 1 year of experience in the hospitality sector. Another element highlighted by the company is not having visible tattoos while wearing the uniform.
Salary and holidays
As the vice president of cabin crew, Samantha James, explained to Corriere della Sera, lo salary is 2500 euros net per month plus benefits such as heavily discounted tickets for family and friends, comprehensive medical insurance and transportation to and from work, as well as shared accommodation with colleagues. The contract also provides for 30 days of vacation per year. The search “is open to both beginners and experienced candidates” explained the manager, recalling that seven and a half weeks of training are planned for new hires before entering the cabin.
