GIRO D’ITALIA: THE SAFETY OF THE PARTY IN THE PRATO
Everything is ready for the arrival of the Giro d’Italia stage in Padua. The plan for the safety of the athletes and those who will witness the passage of the cycling champions is also prepared in detail and involves all the law enforcement and rescue forces.
The 10 kilometers of route across the Padua area will be monitored by around 500 agents. As with any major event that attracts a large audience, an advanced command post has been provided.
If the arrival of the cyclists is expected between 5 and 5.30 pm, in Prato della Valle the party will start well before. At 10am the Giro village dedicated to all cycling and Corsa Rosa enthusiasts will open where it will be possible to follow the 18th stage on a giant screen, take a selfie with the Giro Trophy, visit the Expo Area to discover the history of the Corsa Rosa and thanks to a simulator it will be possible to “pedal” on the roads of the Champions! Federciclismo has organized a race reserved for very young people and also in Prato della Valle there will be a non-competitive ride and a parade of around 100 children between the ages of 7 and 12 belonging to the Padua cycling clubs. The awards ceremony for the most beautiful showcase created in honor of the Giro d’Italia will take place in Loggia Amulea.
