On Monday 17 June, in Forlì, classical music will resonate in an exceptional setting: the Abbey of San Mercuriale, one of the symbols of the city and of the entire Emilia-Romagna, restored to its original beauty after the restoration works which Also of interest is the splendid bell tower. The event – also organized with the patronage of the Municipality of Forlì – constitutes the final moment of a series of events that the Provincial Command of Forlì wanted to dedicate to the people of Romagna, in the year in which the Fiamme Gialle celebrates the 250th anniversary of its foundation of the body.

This time too, future generations will be at the center of the scene. In fact, the performers will be fifteen young musicians from the Young Musicians European Orchestra who will play Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, conducted by maestro Paolo Olmi. Protagonist of operas and concerts all over the world – from Tokyo to London, Berlin, Paris, Chicago, Madrid, Lisbon, Venice, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, ​​Beijing, Shanghai, Toronto – maestro Olmi has conducted almost all of Verdi’s works, then the works of Puccini, Mozart, Donizetti, all the great opera composers and the great titles in the history of music; in his thirty-year career he has also conducted great soloists such as Gazzelloni, Accardo, Ughi.

“The concert – which aims to send a message of détente at a time when there is a strong need for peace and conciliation in the world – stands as a sign of continuity with the other solidarity initiatives organized by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Forlì to remember the over one hundred year history of the Corps and the social vocation of the institutional mission at the service of the community”, they explain from the command in Piazza Dante.

In recent days, in fact, the financiers-donors serving in the departments of the province met at the collection points located throughout the area for a blood donation, which was followed by the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the ‘Avis Comunale di Cesena. A few days later, a delegation of the Fiamme Gialle visited the children and elderly people hospitalized at the “Morgagni-Pierantoni” hospital in Forlì, bringing the solidarity and gratitude of the Corps to the entire staff of the Forlì hospital for their work. carried out in their important social mission.

Access to the concert on Monday evening, which will begin at 9pm, is reserved for ticket holders, on sale at a symbolic price, while seats last. It will also be possible to attend the general rehearsals for free which will be held on the same day in San Mercuriale, starting at 5.00 pm; also in this case, until all available places are filled.

Who is Paolo Olmi

Paolo Olmi was the first Italian conductor in China and brought Opera and Italian Music all over the world: from India to Lebanon to Oman to Cuba. Known to the general public for his numerous television appearances , including the concert broadcast worldwide on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the pontificate of John Paul II, for some years Maestro Olmi has dedicated himself to the Christmas Concert and the Easter Concert held in the Holy Land in collaboration with the Government of Israel, the Palestinian National Authority, Rai and Mibact, working together with “his” Orchestra of Young Europeans.

Renowned throughout Europe, the Young Musicians European Orchestra is made up of talented musicians aged between 15 and 28 from all over the Old Continent and from other countries around the globe, who perform around the world to promote peace, culture and dialogue between nations. Playing with them for the important “birthday” of the Fiamme Gialle there will be, among others, the young but now very successful violinist Indro Borreani.

Indro Borreani

Born in Cuneo, born in 2000, Indro Borreani began studying the piano at the age of four and a year later began his violin training. Winner of numerous national and international competitions, he participates in masterclasses with important names on the European music scene such as: Felice Cusano, Uto Ughi, Sergio Lamberto, Ilya Grubert and Dejan Bogdanovic.

He has played for the main Italian concert companies including the Bologna Festival and the Messina Philharmonic Academy and also collaborates with numerous prestigious orchestras including the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of Young Italian Talents under the direction of Maestro Uto Ughi; at just 22 years old he won the competition at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
