Pistoia Another very serious motorcycle accident on the Porrettana state road. Two centaurs were injured in the head-on collision which occurred shortly after 6pm yesterday in the Bellavalle area, in the municipality of Sambuca Pistoiese: one, aged around seventy, was transported in a coma to the hospital in Bolognaon board the Pavullo helicopter rescue, the other, 54 years old, he was instead brought into code red to Pistoia hospital, by ambulance.
The accident, the circumstances of which are being examined by the police, occurred on the stretch of the state road that passes through the town of Bellavalle. The two motorcyclists were proceeding at high speed in opposite directions when they collided, crashing onto the asphalt. The older of the two had it worsewho, due to the violent facial trauma, lost consciousness.
Given the alarm at 118, the Misericordia and the Green Cross ambulances of Pistoia rushed to the scene, together with the medical vehicle, and also an ambulance sent by the 118 of Bologna. The rescuers immediately realized the gravity of the situation and asked for an air ambulance to be sent.
It was Pavullo’s who arrived in flight, given that the Pegaso 3 helicopter of the Tuscany Region was simultaneously engaged in another rescue, in Sammommè, where a woman fell from a low wall of her home, from a height of about four meters.
Landing at the town’s sports field, he transported her to Careggi hospital for the thoracic trauma and back trauma suffered, which were not life-threatening.
