Signed the “Kindness” Protocol in the Bat

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Equality Councilor of the Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Dr. Rosa D’Alterio, and the Ambassador for Kindness, Dr. Arcangela De Vivo, of the “Kindness and Culture”: an act that represents a moment full of meaning for our territory and for the institutions called to participate in it.

It is an opportunity to address and discuss a topic of absolute importance in order to urge the representatives of local authorities to implement the so-called “best practices” inspired by kindness and thus encourage the growth of the community from an ethical point of view by encouraging fundamental values ​​such as respect and inclusiveness.

Respect is indeed the first prerequisite of any human relationship: without respect there is no sociality, there is no relationship between individuals. Without respect there is no dialogue. Without respect there is no peace. Kindness, understood as respect towards others and public affairs and as the promotion of positive behaviour, must be pursued, cultivated, disseminated and increased in each of us and in the contexts in which we operate: its high human, social, cultural and educational value it is a precious asset for the entire community and an investment, in the short and long term, to improve the quality of life also in the working environment.

“The objective – declares Dr. D’Alterio – is to start a reflection on issues such as kindness, organizational well-being, ethics, legality, today more than ever necessary to initiate that cultural and generational change that many it is hoped for in the field of Public Administration also in the field of relations with the public. The trend that will shape the future of work in Italy is related to the well-being of employees: the needs of workers will drive the labor market towards the new normality. Emerging trends concern employees’ re-evaluation of personal priorities, attributing increasingly more value to work-life balance, inclusion and shared values ​​with their employer: all elements that refer to the centrality of well-being. organizationally. With this protocol we hope that others will follow this example.”
