Palermo. Many, many people this morning colored the streets of the center of Palermo red, confirming StraPad as one of the most heartfelt and loved events in all of Italy.
A success that confirms how much the flagship event of ACSI Western Sicily, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Palermo, is awaited with great participation.
At 11:00 the long-awaited start was announced by the delegate of ACSI Western Sicily Mimmo Totaro. And so, one after the other, the children set off under the large arch in Piazza Castelnuovo for about 3 km, passing through Via Ruggiero Settimo, Via Cavour, Via Roma, Piazza Sturzo, Via Domenico Scinà, and then up Via Filippo. Turati, continue along the side street of Viale della Libertà, Piazza Crispi, turn onto Viale della Libertà and arrive at Piazza Castelnuovo.
Accompanied by their parents, friends and classmates, the little ones spent a day outdoors creating a unique atmosphere: a big party, a morning of smiles, happiness and lots of hugs.
Lorenzo, a young man from Atletica Palermo, was the first to cross the finish line, completing the race in 11 minutes and 21 seconds. Shortly afterwards, under the arch of StraPad, all the other participants arrived: smiling children, with their arms raised, happy to have participated together with their families in a day of sport in the city centre.
