THE EAGLE. Intense activity between the holidays of April 25th and May 1st by the L’Aquila State Police, which carried out specific checks aimed at combating excessive speed while driving, both on motorways and on ordinary roads, with the use of telelaser equipment.
On state road 17, in the municipal area of ​​Navelli, the L’Aquila West Traffic Police sanctioned four drivers, one of whom was caught speeding at a speed of over 150 kilometers per hour and promptly stopped by the officers, with immediate withdrawal of the driving license.
On the A24 motorway, however, near the Teramo barrier, nine drivers did not respect the speed limits and were stopped and fined by traffic officers. Overall, two licenses were withdrawn and 49 points were deducted.
On the subject of road safety, in recent days, a booklet was presented which will also be distributed in schools in order to reduce the number of fatal road accidents in the province. The initiative was promoted by the prefecture and the ACI.
