«We strongly wanted to reconnect the threads of our history – the Mayor’s comment Tommaso Minervini – with this exhibition by Corrado Giaquinto. We wanted it in the new, splendid municipal library. Jewel of the pride of the present with new innovated services so much so that within a few months of reopening it has become the pulsating center of the meeting of young people, children, enthusiasts. One of the many changes that enter the history of Molfetta.”

All the works on display come from Bonasia collection and have long been acquired in private collections throughout Italy.

«Molfetta – adds the councilor for culture, Giacomo Rossiello – hosts an exhibition event, of the highest level, which, for the first time, brings together twenty authentic works by Giaquinto, coming from the Bonasia Collection and private collections, and some works by Francesco Solimena considered his master. Our Library opens the doors to a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition that will allow art lovers to lose themselves in the beauty of the works of Corrado Giaquinto, one of Molfetta’s most illustrious sons.”

«An exhibition – adds Mayor Minervini – made possible by some gentlemen of culture, by the intelligence of men who, gathered in the Partenope association, made the canvases available, making everyone and themselves experience that crackle of joy of showing beauty, which is the nourishment of culture. And for Molfetta, a provincial city, to tell its story of energies that are all over the world.”
