IN VICENZA STOP THE BAN ON NEW OPENINGS IN THE CENTER

Finally, after 12 years, Vicenza sees the concrete possibility of a lifting of the ban on new openings of bars and restaurants in the Tre Scalini and Pescherie Vecchie districts.

The proposal has already been discussed in the council in recent weeks and, given the positive response of the councillors, it has been transformed into a resolution which is about to be discussed in the city council and

submitted to the vote of the city parliament.

The measure relating to the closures was approved by the city council in December 2012: the objective was to limit the general deterioration, including obstruction to road traffic and various noises, caused by an excessively noisy nightlife.

Today, however, the center needs vitality and rebirth – says the councilor for commercial activities and urban planning of the city Balbi – and this also happens by facilitating the opening of new shops.

On the other hand, these are rather interesting areas from a commercial point of view and, in fact, there are already many proposals to join from catering businesses, pastry shops and cafes.

These would therefore be daytime activities which would facilitate the maintenance of public order and the attractiveness of the centre.
