Chess, also 4 from Molfetta at the 2024 Italian youth championship

Anticipation is growing for one of the most important events organized by the Italian Chess Federation.

The Italian Under 18 Youth Chess Championships will start from Saturday 29 June to 6 July 2024.

Important numbers that confirm the growing trend of interest of boys and girls towards this sport:

• 1375 total participants by right, who passed the provincial and regional qualifications throughout Italy;
• 6 category groups (Under 8-10-12-14-16-18);
• 55 Apulian athletes, in total, distributed across the various bands, will represent our region, a record in recent years thanks to the work of the local instructors and the instructors of the Puglia Regional school;
• 4 athletes from ScacchiAmo Molfetta;
• 9 game rounds in 8 days

The tournament will take place in an exclusive place, the Palazzo dei Congressi in Salsomaggiore Terme, a beautiful location that will be the backdrop to thousands of chessboards, real playing fields where young chess players are ready to compete for the title
