By delegation of the Prosecutor of the District Republic of Naples, we inform you that, this morning, the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Naples, collaborated in the executive phase by personnel of the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna and of the Carabinieri Company of Naples Stella, carried out an order for the application of a precautionary measure in prison, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples upon request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Naples – District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against 1 subject seriously suspected of mafia-type association, extortion committed with the aim of facilitating the Camorra organization called “Licciardi clan”, part of the association called “Alleanza di Secondigliano” and operating in the neighborhoods of Masseria Cardone, Rione Berlingieri, Rione Don Guanella and Vasto, and of the crime of undue access to devices suitable for communication by detained subjects.
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted, and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and, therefore, presumed innocent until the final sentence.
