Just over a month before the local and European elections of8 And June 9ththe city leadership of Action organized a dialogue with the councilor of Milan yesterday evening Daniele Nahum – as well as candidate in the European elections for Action, e Andrea Valentino – candidate in the local elections on the civic list of Elena Carnevaliwith the participation also of Simonetta FiaccadoriBergamo candidate for the European elections on the party list.

An appointment that is part of the cycle of meetings “Future Vision”, aimed in particular at young people, but also at all those who wish to delve deeper into topics and discuss with the guests. In this case, a dialogue aimed atEurope it’s at Bergamorule of law and minorities.

“Our task is to build a true spirit of European citizenship, telling citizens what Europe can do for them – says Nahum -. This is what we did today in Bergamo, with the Action guys: we talked about territory, but also about topics such as common European defense and foreign policy. I believe in the need for a strong Europe, attentive to the interests of each of its components, so as to be able to compete with global players and with the challenges of our times”.

Valentino underlines the link between the Orobic city and Europe: “Bergamo and Europe are closely intertwined. The billion euros in investments, made possible only by the PNRR and Europe, demonstrate this: such investments have never been seen in the history of our city. Action aims to bring competent candidates to Europe, who contribute to improving European mechanisms, while in Bergamo we are alongside Elena Carnevali in her civic list, to help her make Bergamo an increasingly protagonist in Europe”.

“We must all be Europeans in person. Dialogue with young people is necessary because the European choice strongly affects their lives – states Flaccadori -. I have been a civic councilor and I know that no territory can be governed without Europe. Not just for financing. I am thinking of environmental policies such as the European project Zero Impact Cities in which Bergamo participates; to health that the pandemic has shown to have a supranational scale”.

And regarding young people he continues: “All the important issues for the future of young people can find better answers through Europe: education and training, people’s rights, economic growth and job protection, regulation of artificial intelligence, research. I hope that these dialogues will bring their participation and involvement.”
