A hard fist from the municipal administration of Acireale to prevent possible fires which last year also hit the Acireale area hard during the summer. Mayor Roberto Barbagallo has signed an ordinance with which he obliges land owners to carry out cleaning operations by May 1st, widening the areas to 20 meters from sensitive points and streets in the city center and 10 meters from neighboring lands. and roads.
The activation of a task force has been arranged, made up of employees of the Environment and local Police offices, to which will be added the Arcicaccia volunteers and the technical support of two drones, which will monitor the territory and collect reports.
