Differentiated autonomy: the opposition protests in L’Aquila

Awareness events and protests against the bill on differentiated autonomy announced by the opposition in the Municipality of L’Aquila

Calling it “splitting Italy”, the minorities are once again fighting against the bill on differentiated autonomy, after their agenda was rejected in the city council.
A council to which bipartisan political representatives, the Region, associations and unions were invited. However, the absences were heavy, even if those who spoke highlighted the damage that the design would cause on the area.

The opposition criticized the absence of the mayor and the president of the region and of the centre-right parliamentarians.

“Scandalous behaviour. – according to Pezzopane, Verini, Giannangeli, Scimia and Albano – It is sad to see that we are avoiding confrontation, but we will not give up”.

“In light of Tajani’s very cautious statements – added Stefania Pezzopane – we would have expected the same thing in the council from the representatives of the centre-right”.

The opposition also concluded by explaining that they will inform citizens about what is happening.
